IN 1996: First United Methodist Church of Winter Park begins Mission trips to Northern Costa Rica.

IN 2007: While on a mission trip to Los Chiles FUMCWP is made aware of the many slums around Los Chiles without water.

IN 2010: First successful well drilled in the Los Chiles neighborhood of Achotal.  Its still providing clean water to this day.

IN 2012: Agua Viva Serves formed and $50,000 raised to bring on Deep Rock M-60 drill rig and Ford F-250 Drilling Truck.

IN 2016: A record year with over 150 volunteers supporting the effort.  2016 will mark Agua Viva Serves' 60th well.  

IN 2017:   AVS has reached over 6600 people with a total of 70 well.  We now have over 4 large water tower based projects reaching as many as 1000 people with our largest water system.

2018 Marks our 6th year of independent operation reaching a planned 8300 people by the end of the year.
